This trip places the PBA student directly into the middle of a development initiative in the Ivory Coast. Stationed in Grand Bassam, students will live with civil war orphans and help their community in its efforts towards long-term sustainability. Some travel throughout the region will also occur, including to Abidjan and Yassamoukouro. Students can expect to live and operate in a community of orphans, using the same facilities, eating the same food and sleeping in the same quarters that they do. The amount of contact/ministry/development time will be extremely high. As this will be the second visit of PBA to this NGO's orphanage, we will be capitalizing on the success of previous relationships and expanding our impact. Knowledge of french is not essential, though it will certainly be helpful. Translators provided.
