Testimonial:
Here is a trip that provides many opportunities to stretch your gifts and talents, as well as step out in faith and walk on water with Jesus! With all honesty I wasn't quite sure why I had ended up in Europe- it wasn't a place I had expected to serve in. But every day an experience would unveil the beauty of God's work in these different cultures and I couldn't help but to fall in love with it. Just like any trip with 2AllNations you can expect the unexpected, allowing you to take the hand of Jesus and step out onto the water of faith. We began the trip with street evangelism, homeless ministry, and local church service projects in Brussels, Belgium. There were plenty of days that allowed us to acclimate to the new "cultures" within Belgium. We never knew what culture we would be exposed to. Some days we would pray in the center square of a Muslim marketplace, other days we would pray for the Congolese during a Catholic Mass. Some days we would listen to the stories of homeless Syrian Refugees, and other days we would share a meal with Bulgarians. We had the opportunity to feed families from France, preach in front of Albanian groups, and worship in front of a mix of European, African, and Middle Eastern cultures. You can expect this beautiful distinct mix of cultures in a Country with such a rich history that we got to experience up close. After Belgium, we flew into Bulgaria and took a mountainous road trip into Macedonia. This is where our trust in the Lord was tested. We can all admit that we were a bit intimidated when we first arrived, being a missionary group in the center of one of Europe's largest Muslim community. But every day, the beauty of God's work within His creation would unveil more and more. We had opportunities to host Culture Exchange Coffee Shops with the local Eastern European University students, share Biblical truths and love with unreached people groups such as the Macedonian Gypsy’s, and praise God through street worship in the center of the community. Our praise and worship would drown out the Call to Prayer which would play five times a day and the light in our hearts would shine brighter than the darkness in that community. After spending a powerful week in Macedonia, we drove back to Bulgaria to engage in their culture a day before flying back to Belgium to finish off our trip with incredible acts of service to the community.
If I could, I would write a book on our experiences in Europe. There are so many little things, as well as big things, that occurred to us and not enough space on this page to go into detail with them. This trip was worth the expenses (financially and Spiritually). I hope as you read this short testimony you’ll feel a tug in your heart to travel back to our places to help water the seeds that we were able to spread across Europe. I pray that you, the reader, will feel a calling to travel to Belgium to feed the homeless community (physically as well as Spiritually). I pray that you will have that pull in your heart to travel to Macedonia and let your love overflow into the Gypsy camp kids. I pray that there will be no hindrances and that the door will open up for you to reach out to Albania (a country we were supposed to visit but were directed elsewhere). If you want to serve in a place that gives you exposure to a wide variety of cultures and people then I promise that this trip is for you! And I promise that God will use your gifts and talents to open up the hearts in Europe and redirect them to Him. All praise, honor, and glory be to our God!
