Religion in Cusco is very important and prevalent.  One will find many different rethey have a facebook), the church her husband is pastor of.  Students may also partner with La Uncion Iglesia Cristiana and their young adult ministry. 

The International Mission/Service-Learning Practicum will enhance and help students internalize their experience, and provides a great opportunity to reinforce cross-cultural missions, and earn college credit. The course formalizes the student's 7-10 hours of ministry including: reflection activities, journal entries, and cultural research.

"I loved the ministry that I got to be apart of here. I taught English classes at the church two times a week with a full-time missionary and then I went to Sion which is an after-school program for the kids in this impoverished area every Friday.I feel greatly impacted by my time here. I think that this was an amazing experience that God allowed me to have and I am so grateful for the experiences I’ve had here. My Missions Mentor, Giovanni, was amazing to me and to all of us on the program. She not only gave us an opportunity to get involved with the church that her husband is a pastor at but she was also caring and loving to us and always pouring into us."

There are two summer programs, one from May 19th to June 24th and another from June 30th to August 5th.

HOUSING
All Veritas participants will live in homestays with Peruvian families.  Students will be provided with three meals per day (except on Veritas excursion days) and laundry service once per week for the official duration of the program. This is included in the Veritas program cost. Students usually share a bedroom with another Veritas student, but have the option of paying extra to secure an individual room. Homestays provide a wonderful opportunity to learn the language and the culture while you are studying abroad. You will build lasting relationships with your host family and return home filled with fond memories of your time abroad!
